Vanessa heeft van kinds af aan al een drive om al haar projecten zo succesvol mogelijk te maken. Gedurende haar jeugd verzon ze allerlei trucjes om haar ouders te helpen bij hun bedrijf en startte ze haar eigen kiosk in Thailand. Daarbij werd ze enorm gesteund door haar opa. Om nog beter te worden in wat ze deed, is ze International Business Management gaan studeren. Na haar afstuderen, gaf haar opa een belangrijke les mee: ‘You have your own wings, you have to make it happen for yourself now’. Gegrepen door de liefde heeft ze vervolgens in vijf verschillende landen gewoond. Met haar lijflied ‘Jordin Sparks - One Step At A Time’ als motivatie had ze al snel haar eerste baan in de beauty-industrie gescoord. Hier ontdekte Vanessa haar passie voor de business. Acht jaar geleden is ze in Nederland gekomen en ging ze hier als beautyspecialiste aan het werk. Als een echte zakenvrouw had Vanessa direct een doel voor ogen: binnen drie jaar een eigen salon in het centrum hebben. Slechts acht maanden later kreeg ze de mogelijkheid om deze droom waar te maken. Aan het Plein kon ze een kamer huren waarin ze haar eigen beautysalon kon openen. En zo geschiedde…<\/p>\n\n

Where it all started<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Vanessa has always had a drive to make any endeavour successful. During her childhood she came up with all kinds of tricks to help her parents with their company and she started her own stand in Thailand. In doing so, she was greatly supported by her grandfather. To become even better in what she did, she decided to study International Business Management. After she graduated, her grandfather gave her an important life lesson: “You have your own wings, you have to make it happen for yourself now”.

\nWith the song of “Jordin Sparks - One Step At A Time” as her personal theme song, she quickly obtained her first job in the beauty industry. That is when she discovered her passion for beauty. Eight years ago, Vanessa moved to The Netherlands and found a job as a beauty specialist. A true business woman at heart, she had one goal in mind: her own spot in the city centre of The Hague within the next three years. It only took her eight months to realise this goal. At the Plein she had the opportunity to rent a room, from where she was able to start her own beauty salon. Vanessa heeft altijd een doel voor ogen. Zodra ze haar eigen salon had geopend was haar volgende doel: Phann Beauty uit laten groeien tot een succes. Dit ging niet zonder vallen en opstaan. Om je doel na te streven, moet je ervoor vechten en hard werken. De beautywereld verandert continu en als expat moet je jezelf extra bewijzen. Toch is Vanessa nooit afgeweken van haar doel. Het online brengen van Phann Beauty heeft tevens bijgedragen aan het succes. Haar zichtbaarheid is enorm vergroot en ze heeft zichzelf echt op de kaart kunnen zetten. Zo hebben veel mensen via Treatwell deze oase van rust kunnen ontdekken die haar anders niet hadden gevonden, zelfs mensen buiten Den Haag! Bovendien wordt de marketing door Treatwell voor haar uit handen genomen waardoor ze meer tijd heeft om zich volledig te richten op haar klanten. Dit heeft eraan bijgedragen dat Phann Beauty enorm is gegroeid. Uiteindelijk kwam de mogelijkheid daar om uit te breiden van 1 kamer naar een heel pand; veel extra ruimte die nu volledig wordt benut!<\/p>\n\n

From 1 room to 2 floors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Vanessa makes sure to always have a goal in mind. As soon as she opened her own salon, she had set her next goal set: let Phann Beauty<\/a> grow to success. This did not happen without trial and error. “To realise your goal, you have to work and fight for it.” The beauty industry is continuously changing and you have to prove yourself extra hard as an expat. Yet Vanessa has never deviated from her goal. Bringing Phann Beauty online has also contributed to her success. Her visibility has improved enormously and she has put herself on the map. A lot of people found her via Treatwell and were able to experience this oasis. Even people outside The Hague! Furthermore, Treatwell takes care of the marketing so Vanessa can devote all the time to her clients. This has contributed to the big growth of Phann Beauty. In the end, Vanessa had the opportunity to expand from one room where she started out to an entire building; a lot of extra space which is now fully utilised!<\/p>\n\n

Zo zijn alle kamers geïnspireerd door een bepaald seizoen en dragen ze bij aan de totale beleving. Deze visie heeft zeker bijgedragen aan haar succes. Inmiddels heeft ze een fijn team met hardwerkende vrouwen die van hun werk houden en geloven in de visie van Phann Beauty. En het volgende doel? Phann Beauty zó succesvol maken dat het zichzelf draaiende houdt.<\/p>\n\n

All those years Vanessa has never lost sight of Phann Beauty’s philosophy. A treatment is more than just a nail trim or nail polish. “Phann Beauty offers you a space to step out of your daily business. Just relax and take care of yourself. Something small like a colour you never wear on your nails, can lift your spirits without you realising it.” She always asks herself: ‘how should my clients experience this?’ She always makes sure to ask her clients what they want to achieve with their chosen treatment.

In the meantime she has a great team with hard-working ladies who love their job and believe in the philosophy of Phann Beauty. And the next goal?
