Unfortunately, my experience with Kira’s Nails was not the best.
About two weeks ago, I went in person to ask for some information because it was my first time visiting the salon. Their Instagram looked very professional, so I had high expectations. I asked which treatment would be best for my nails, and based on their recommendation, I booked an appointment about two weeks in advance.
Before my appointment, I also sent photos of the nails and the design I wanted. They told me that everything was fine and that they would see me at my appointment. At no point was I informed that the nail art/design required an additional treatment or extra cost. I would have had no problem paying the extra cost, but I believe this should be clearly communicated to the customer before the appointment.
When I arrived, the treatment was done very quickly, apparently because there were other clients waiting. At the end, the lady told me that we were finished, and I was honestly shocked because my nails did not have the design I had sent beforehand.
That was when she explained to me that the design required an additional treatment. I explained that nobody had told me about this and that I had no problem paying for it, but I asked if she could please finish my nails. She told me that they couldn’t because they didn’t have enough time.
I left feeling really sad and disappointed. I had booked my appointment well in advance and had even sent the pictures beforehand, so I expected the design to be taken into consideration.
When I got home, I ended up fixing my nails myself.
I also checked the website again, and in my opinion, the information about needing to add an extra treatment for nail art is not very clear. It is mentioned at the very end of the page, rather than being clearly explained when making the appointment.
I think the biggest issue for me was not the additional cost, but the lack of clear communication and the fact that there was no time to finish the service once I was already there.
