I showed photos of what I wanted and explained I didn't want something too short and to do only long, soft layers. I ended up with a short haircut and short layers. Maybe something was lost in translation... But good to check/confirm with your customer before you start cutting any big length, since it's too late once it's done. It's not a bad haircut and I got used to it now (after styling my hair like I usually do) but it's also not at all what I asked.
