I was received by a friendly woman for my mani/pedi appointment. She offered me tea, and engaged in light conversation.
The place was small and cozy, but it does not have proper equipment for mani/pedi. For instance the machine which the salon uses for footbath does not work, as in no bubbles or movement in water. For me, it was like soaking my feet in lukewarm water, which is something I could have done at home also. And the whole time there was radio and TV running in the background, making the experience not calm and relaxing.
When it came to filing the nails, my right thumb's nails was filed to the point that it hurts as I type. Also, the cream was not fully removed from my nails after the massage, which made the application of nail color poor. For example the nail color is not smooth, it contains bubbles and ridges, making it look like it was done at home and not by a professional in a salon.
The nail color also does not cover my full nail like it should. There is visible gap between my cuticles and nails, which I asked the manicurist to cover, but she did not. In addition, the salon neither has a machine that dries nail color quickly, not do they have quick drying drops. So you have to wait quite a while before your nails are dry enough.
Overall, I would not say the experience was satisfying. I went on Wednesday night for my appointment and I have already removed the color on Friday because its application was bad. That said, the receptionist there was delightful and even gave me a sample of a dermalogica mask. But I won't be returning there for another treatment.
