María’s journey into skin therapy began with a passion for medicine and a desire to help people feel confident in their own skin. Her journey began in Argentina, where she studied physiotherapy before discovering Dermatocosmiatria, a field that brought together everything she was looking for: clinical science, a deep understanding of the body, and the opportunity to help people feel genuinely confident in their own skin. What started as a discovery quickly became a calling. María trained and interned across Argentina, went on to teach at university level, and later deepened her clinical experience in a dermatology clinic in Barcelona, where she worked with real skin conditions and complex concerns rather than surface-level treatments. In 2025, she brought that experience to Amsterdam and created Haven, a space built around the way she believes skin should be treated: with expertise, attention, and a plan that is personal to you. That journey is still at the heart of how María works today. She takes the time to listen, understand your skin history, explain what is actually happening beneath the surface, and build a treatment plan around your skin and your goals, never around a standard protocol or a push to sell more. And while her approach is deeply rooted in clinical knowledge, clients often remember something else just as much: the feeling of being truly heard and cared for. Her signature facial massage has even earned her the nickname “magic hands.” For María, great skin therapy isn't about chasing perfect skin. It's about understanding your skin, working with it consistently, and helping you feel at home in it.
