SOLSTICE is a therapeutic massage studio in Amsterdam West. They are a team of compassionate, international female massage therapists with different backgrounds in holistic health, massage, pre-natal care and physiotherapy. It is a safe and serene place for you to recharge body, mind + spirit. All treatments are done on a heated massage table with natural oils. With calm music, ambient lighting and a caring ear from your massage therapist- you will always feel completely taken care of. Whether the massage is for physical pain, or something less visible such as stress or burn-out, every treatment is custom made for you and your body- and you'll always feel welcomed at the studio. Please read the descriptions on the massage menu to know what to expect from each treatment.
Arrive to your appointments on time, but not more than 5 minutes before as the door may still be locked. Please wait patiently if you arrive early, and the door will open shortly before your treatment time. Attend your appointments alone. SOLSTICE is a one room concept, boutique studio with no separate waiting area- so unfortunately guests cannot be accommodated. Cancellations and changes to appointments require 24 hours notice.
Nearest public transport:
The area is easily accessible by tram, the closest stop on Van Hallstraat. The studio is then 7 minutes walking from there. Paid street parking is available.
The team:
The owner Dana is a Remedial Massage Therapist residing in Amsterdam for 8 years- originally from Canada. She studied at the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba in a 2 year, 2200 hour program with heavy focus on anatomy, physiology and practical work. She has been working as a professional massage therapist since 2012 both in North America and Europe. Her specialization is in Swedish and Pregnancy treatments.
What we like about the salon:

- Specialised in: cultivating a welcoming and comfortable environment, where clients feel valued, respected and at ease, as well as providing expert advice and guidance.
- Used products and/ or brands: The salon uses an Earthlite Spirit brand massage table- both for regular massage and with removable sling for pregnancy treatments. Massages are done with Earthlite Natural Nut massage oil (alternative nut-free oils available upon request). The WC is equipped with Marie Stella Maris products & fresh single-use hand towels.
Contraindications:
With all systemic diseases, ie: Cancer, AIDS etc. always check with your physician before booking a massage treatment.
Open lesions on the skin, or severe eczema/psoriasis.
Blood clots and large varicose veins.
All contagious diseases & symptoms- flus, colds, fever etc.
