1. What is Electrolysis and How Does It Work?
Electrolysis is the only method officially recognized by the FDA for permanent hair removal.The Process: A micro-thin, sterile probe is inserted into the hair follicle without damaging the skin.
The Result: A precise electrical impulse destroys the germ cells responsible for hair growth, ensuring the hair never grows back.
Techniques: I specialize in the Thermolysis method for efficiency and the Blend Method for complex, deep, or distorted hair follicles.
2. Why Choose Electrolysis?
Unlike laser treatments, electrolysis is effective for everyone:
All hair colors: Works on blonde, grey, red, and peach fuzz (vellus hair).
All skin types: Safe for all skin tones and photo-types.
Hormonal areas: Effective regardless of hormonal shifts.
3. Mandatory Consultation Policy (New Clients)
Your skin’s health is my top priority. Therefore, I have a strict policy regarding initial appointments:
No Treatment Without Consultation: I do not perform full treatment sessions for new clients without a prior consultation, even if you have had electrolysis elsewhere.
Facial Areas: If you book a full session (30/60 min) for the face without a prior consultation, the appointment will automatically be converted into a consultation and a patch test, or it may be cancelled.
Patch Test: During the consultation, we will perform a small test procedure to observe your skin's reaction.
Observation Period: We must wait 3 days after the patch test to ensure proper healing. Only after this can we schedule full-length treatment sessions.
4. Contraindications
Treatment cannot be performed if you have:
A pacemaker or internal defibrillator.
Active skin diseases, infections, or rashes in the treatment area.
Pregnancy.
Active oncological treatments.
Infectious diseases.
5. Practice Rules & Payments
Age Limit: I only treat clients aged 18 and older.
Insurance: Please note that I do not work with insurance companies. My services are not covered or reimbursable by health insurance (no "zorgverzekering" coverage).
Payment Methods: You can pay online via Treatwell or at the studio using a QR-code (Tikkie).
6. Additional Information
Hygiene: I use only sterile, single-use disposable probes and follow strict hygiene protocols.
