The first time I went to the salon my nails were all breaking afterwards. Then I came again the second time and they didn’t even have the glue in the salon to fix them so I cut my nails completely short and did the gel again. But unfortunately even now they are all breaking. :( I put a special note when I was booking to only take off the gel with acetone but even it was their gel polish they anyway filed them so much that they became so thin and started breaking. Maybe get the good gel remover?
