I was there on February 10th with a friend for a facial treatment. The treatment is supposed to last 30 minutes. Unfortunately, my friend was only treated for 25 minutes (which is still okay), but I only received 20 minutes. I was missing 10 minutes out of 30.
When I decided to inform the studio about this, their response on Instagram was quite snippy. We were told that, according to their cameras, we went downstairs at 15:23 and paid at 16:24, so it supposedly couldn’t be true. However, if you think logically, it would have been impossible for each of us to have been treated for 30 minutes.
We went downstairs, used the restroom, the treatment room was prepared, the procedure was explained to us. Then we switched, and the room was prepared again. We had to get dressed and undressed, talked a bit afterward, and then went back upstairs. All of this takes time, which is understandable, but responding in such a defensive and snippy manner and implying that I’m not telling the truth is unacceptable. If I had been satisfied, I wouldn’t have reached out afterward.
Overall, the treatment was okay, but nothing beyond the ordinary. Nothing special. I’ve been to studios that were much nicer, with relaxing music, candles, etc. We weren’t even offered a drink.
They made fun of the fact that I wanted a refund for the missing minutes. However, we’re talking about €28.95. They then snippily offered me to make up for the missing 10 minutes with a massage. But of course, it makes no sense to go back there just for a 10-minute massage.
I wouldn’t recommend going there. There are so many great studios in Amsterdam.
