I'm very sorry that I have to give (very) negative feedback on the treatment I had, especially because the people were all in all sweet, but I still suffer from the massage I had five days ago. I've had Indian head massages before and the technique the masseuse applied had nothing to do with it – actually, she barely touched my head, I was always with the face down, and she insisted on the shoulder joints and the areas around it. She kept saying that we don't have enough time, but, well, if this is part of the package the salon presents, it should be balanced and complete one way or another. Anyway, what is more important is that a couple of hours later, bruises appearedi on my shoulder joint and I could feel immense pain in the joint. Up to this day, the nerves around that area were so irritated that my fingers get silghtly numb and my neck is stiff to the point I can barely turn my head (and, yes, I still have bruises). Communication in English was not possible with the masseuse, but I really had to stop her when she violently rubbed my neck. Regardless of the language, a professional should be sensitive to the pain tolerance each client can afford and should be aware of what she's doing – I often take massages and this was by far the most traumatic experience.

Je hebt van die adresjes die je liever voor jezelf houdt, want hoe erg als die straks zo druk zijn dat je er niet meteen terecht kan... Ik kwam voor een pedicure, maar werd getriggerd door alle anatomische posters aan de muur en vroeg of ik ook een massage kon krijgen. De massage was stevig, soms zelfs pijnlijk, maar heel grondig. Maar please, PLEASE niet verder vertellen dat hier de beste masseuse van Amsterdam werkt!
