Pride 2020: 30x inspiratie voor regenbogen op je nagels

In 2020 gaat (bijna) niets zoals gepland. Ook Pride verloopt noodgedwongen anders dan we gewend zijn; wereldwijd zijn parades wegens coronamaatregelen geannuleerd. Zo ook in Amsterdam. Desondanks gaat Pride natuurlijk gewoon door. Vieren dat je kunt zijn wie je bent en kunt houden van wie je wil, is ontzettend belangrijk – het valt of staat niet met een (boten)parade. Pride Amsterdam heeft een alternatief programma opgesteld, dat plaatsvindt van 25 juli t/m 2 augustus.

Zo is er bijvoorbeeld de Find All Flags Tour (een wandeling van 5 km langs belangrijke plekken voor de LHBT+ community) en op 1 augustus is er op het Museumplein een protest tegen geweld jegens de LHBT+ community, Pride is Protest.

Of je nu aanwezig bent bij de fysieke events of Pride vanuit je woonkamer beleeft; kleurrijke nagels zijn altijd een goed idee. Hierbij een flinke dosis inspiratie voor Pride manicures.

Kto nie wpadł na wzory, a chciałby i może się dorzucić do zbiórki, zachęcam! No i jeszcze raz dzięki! W lipcu akcja trwa dalej, wzory symbolizujące poparcie dla społeczności LGBTQ+ dalej maluję za free, a 50% z każdego takiego manikiuru w tym miesiącu przekaże na Fundację Trans-Fuzja.

Siemano, niestety tak jak pisałam w poniedziałek, trochę zaspałam, ale do końca czerwca wzory symbolizujące poparcie dla społeczności LGBTQ+ maluję za free, a na mani z takimi wzorami jest -50%. Did you know we wouldn’t have pride month without the Stonewall riots and protests in 1969? They lasted 6 days and highlighted just how much injustice surrounded the LGBT+ community. There’s a recent article on Forbes if you wanna read more about it, but it’s poignant considering the discrimination LGBTQ+ people still face today. There are family members who would disown their children for coming out. There are states where you can be fired from your job simply because of who you love. It just never made sense to me, how hard is it to let people love & live freely? How can people willingly choose to stay close minded and so ignorant? So many parallels with the BLM movement, and I just hope we can be better for the generations to come. I’ll be looking into how to help and support Black LGBTQ+ people, feel free to share any authors, artists, shops, etc you know of below so I can also share them in my stories!
